AMTS is a new amateur dramatic society based in Ashington, West Sussex, dedicated to producing and performing shows that show off the talent, creativity and passion of our members. Since our formation in 2023, we have already successfully performed 2 musicals, with our next production in the works, 2 musical showcases and a Christmas Pantomime. We welcome all members, with no on-stage or performing experience required (just enthusiasm and a passion for musical theatre!), and we promise a positive and supportive rehearsal environment. The local community is at the forefront of everything we do as a society, and we have also performed in pubs, at Ashington Festival, and hosted fundraising events.
WHEN DO WE REHEARSE?
Currently we rehearse twice a week – 7:30-10:00 on Tuesday at Ashington Social Club, and 7:30-10:00 on Thursday at our primary performance venue, Ashington Community Centre. We also always welcome members who would like to get involved with direction/production, set design, props and costumes, technical aspects and helping with running our front of house.
